PVL Receives Approval for Trona Lime Kiln

Panamint Valley Limestone Inc (PVL) of Trona, CA has announced that San Bernardino County has approved its plans to construct a state-of-the-art lime plant in Trona, CA. The company says that the new kiln will have low environmental emissions and high safety design standards and will be among the cleanest lime plants in the world. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2021 with completion by the end of 2022.

The PVL plant will convert high quality limestone rock, quarried from its quarry in the Panamint Valley, into 400 tons/day of high value quicklime and hydrated lime. The products will be distributed to customers in California and nearby states. Consumers will include the agricultural, construction, metallurgical, and environmental markets.

PVL has also announced that it will be entering the bright white limestone markets in southern California. With development of its Helder Wit deposit, located in the Panamint Valley, it will provide one of the highest quality available sources of this product with over 100 years of supply.
