Nabaltec Says Price Increases a Key Driver for Revenue Growth in First Quarter

Nabaltec AG of Germany reports revenues in the first quarter of 2022 were €54.8 million (US$58.8 million) versus €46.0 million (US$49.4 million) in the first quarter of last year. The company’s operating profit was €7.1 million (US$7.6 million), up from €3.9 million (US$4.2 million) in the same period of 2021.

Johannes Heckmann, Nabaltec’s CEO, said, “Our performance in the first quarter of 2022 was very stable. Price increases were a key driver of revenue growth in the first three months of the year. Despite the difficulty of the current environment, we are continuing to see steady demand for our products.”

Revenues in the company’s Functional Fillers segment were €36.9 million (US$39.6 million) in the first quarter, up from €32.9 million (US$35.3 million) in the prior year’s first quarter. Revenue in the Specialty Aluminas segment amounted to a total of €17.9 million (US$19.2 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up from €13.7 million (US$14.7 million) in the same quarter of last year.
